D’Allesandro’s pizza has become a staple restaurant of the Elliottborough neighborhood  since it’s arrival in june of 2006.  Benny and Nick D’Allesandro noticed the need for an affordable restaurant in the area after living there for over 10 years.  When asked why Elliottborough, Benny responded in his normal care free tone, “I got tired of walking a mile for some decent food.”  When it comes to the restaurant business Nick and Benny are far from care free.  They make it their mission to provide the Cannonborough-Elliottborough area with high quality food at affordable prices.

After growing up in Philadelphia for their entire adolescent lives and working at many different pizza shops Benny and Nick saw it fit to open their own once they obtained their bachelors degree from College of Charleston.  They are active participants in the neighborhood association and Nick is the head of the parking committee for Cannonborough-Elliottborough.

D’Allesandro’s has completed their vision to serve “good food, at great prices to awesome people.”  Stop in and check them out on the corner of Bogard street and St. Phillip street in the heart of Elliottborough.  To see their menu or learn more about the resturant check our their website at http://www.229pies.com/
