Thinking Outside The Box

While trying to enjoy a delicious sandwich at Queen Street Grocery, Brandon and Paul ran into a pair of interesting women to say the least.  These women were dressed in full blue with some outrages accessories including a “re-purposed” surf board they found.  When Brandon saw these two freakishly amazingly dressed ladies he asked what and why. . .

The women responded by saying they were promoting an event for The Hasley Art Institute that will take place on Thursday May 27, 2010.  The event is entitled Call and Response: Africa to America and the artwork is done by Nick Cave and Phyllis Galembo.  Call and Response: Africa to America pairs two uniquely American artists, each of whom explores the contours of West African masquerade through their art.  This event should be popping so stop by at 161 Calhoun Street on the College of Charleston campus between 5pm-11pm tonight and catch a glimpse of some amazing art.  Also check out the Hasley Institute of Contemporary Art on the web at http://halsey.cofc.edu/.

  1. It is really rare to come across a professional in whom you may have some faith. In the world these days, nobody actually cares about showing others the answer in this issue. How blessed I am to have now found such a wonderful website as this. It’s people like you exactly who make a true difference currently through the strategies they share.

  2. Thank you for your great facts!! Are you a member on twitter by any chance? Can give a twitter update from my account right now :-)
